Does any of this sound familiar?
Those revolving thoughts that distract you during the day and keep you up at night are taking a toll.
You want to find a non-judgmental place to discuss those thoughts and feelings.
The days, years, and months keep flying by, but you feel stuck.
You want help learning how to shift toward living a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
Life dealt you an unexpected hand, and you wonder if anything will ever feel “normal” again.
You want to add balance, consistency, and peace to your life.
Or perhaps, this is how you feel.
As your worst critic, that negative self-talk is starting to send you on a downward spiral. You desire to find help to address your perfectionism, fear of failure, and inability to be vulnerable.
Like a tornado, your everyday life is overwhelming, and your business is all-consuming. You want to find calm in the storm, move through life in less hurry, and cherish each day.
There is someone or something in your life that you want to break ties with. You’re seeking support to take the first step and hold a firm boundary.
You made a mistake, and you’re looking for a way to seek forgiveness and forgive yourself.
My approach focuses on YOU and YOUR needs.
When working with me, our session begins by identifying what you want to accomplish and how you feel about life currently. Then, we will discuss how therapy can help you achieve your goals. If you have a specific goal in mind or are still searching for what you would like to gain from your therapeutic journey, this is how your meetings with me can be helpful for you.
Some of the tools I use to help people on their journey toward living a more intentional life include the following: mindfulness meditation, self-affirmation, goal attainment, establishing healthy boundaries, finding inner peace, holistic wellness, stress relief, and self-care practices.
In our sessions, we will build trust with an authentic and flowing conversation, maintain a warm atmosphere where you can dump your mind, and let the world’s worries fall off your shoulders.
Then, we will identify what you’re seeking from your therapeutic journey or talk through what may be the most helpful way to spend our session time, create a plan to support your individualized goals, including in and out-of-session tasks, periodically assess progress and pivot when necessary, and leave room for you to say whatever you want to say, in the way you want to say it while being your whole self.
We customize your therapeutic journey to you and how you would like to use the space. Let’s get started!

Hi, I’m Kristin McCloud, LMSW
Helping others live intentionally became my goal.
Years ago, going through the motions, day in and day out, a significant life event pushed me to begin my therapeutic journey. I realized I wanted to stop existing, start living intentionally, and help others do the same.
I left my hometown, Kansas City, KS, to return to Kansas State University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in social work. I continued my education at Park University, where I earned my master’s degree in social work, and West Virginia University, where I am completing my Ph.D. in Human and Community Development.
My mission is to close the gap and help people reconnect to their passion and purpose for their lives. Working with me will help you recognize where the current of your life’s flow is taking you and help you take the captain’s wheel to guide you where you desire to be.
Regardless of your identities or current life circumstances, I want to help you gain holistic peace and support you as you live it more passionately and authentically.
Here, you have an understanding audience.
As a woman who has worked in academia, student affairs, hospital systems, and corporate America, I’m familiar with the nuances of maintaining competing work and life identities.
I have watched people trade their hopes and dreams for mediocrity and people-pleasing behaviors, robbing them of their potential for greatness. I have seen comparison and negativity destroy the joy and fulfillment of the present and ultimately detour people from their purpose-driven future.
If you’re a social media user like me, you may have noticed a growing fascination with the lives and accomplishments of others. Unfortunately, this creates a widening disconnect between who we are as people and the intentional life we would like to live.
Following my purpose and passion helps me gain what I desire and deserve in this lifetime. Let me help you do the same!
My life is full of things to do.
When I take a break from dissertating and providing therapy, I enjoy teaching, reading, mentoring, museums, and hitting the gym.
In addition, I am getting to know my new Tennessee surroundings by frequenting new restaurants and farmers’ markets and connecting with nature.
