2020280174Keeping it real…

My clients come to me for Relationship Therapy for One when it feels like their final option. They are at a point where their learnings will either make or break their relationship.

You have a partner unwilling to go to therapy with you to work on the relationship, or you are unwilling to have them in your space as you process through the relationship and the potential trajectory.

As your therapist on your journey, you will be met with kindness, compassion, and understanding. But, you will also be met with honesty (maybe even brutal honesty, depending on your needs/personality). I am here to normalize some experiences and help you heal and find your value, but my role is also to call you out (subtly or blatantly) if there are areas in your life where you are getting in your way.

As a younger therapist, I am well versed in the dating scene, sliding in the DMs, and shady behavior. My personality is very laid back, but I am that therapist that will drop the mic and say what needs to be said. You will have a genuine experience that allows you to process your relationship in and out. It will feel like your partner was there, even if they weren’t. It will enable you gain clarity and healing. But it will also help you set boundaries, find peace, and find your self-worth/value.

You… me… a box of tissues… some chocolate… GO!

Just kidding! Well, if that’s what you really need, we can talk about it. 🙂

During our 50-minute sessions, you’ll have my undivided attention as we unpack the struggles in your relationship.

I know… you’re itching to figure out what the heck relationship therapy for one could entail. I will let the cat out of the bag just for you – you’re welcome. 🙂

We will debrief the relationship. Yes, all of it. The good, the bad, and the ugly. We will discuss the difficulties you’re presently facing and the dilemmas you’d like to work through.

In this space, you will decide whether to repair the relationship or find the strength to part ways (yes, you can change your mind). Based on your goals, we will process areas where there have been breakdowns in the relationship, and you’ll be provided with guidance and tools to better handle those situations in the future.

We will always ensure that you have solid boundaries and rules based on your values. You will be held to those standards throughout our sessions. You will engage in “homework” assignments outside of therapy to put some of the tools into action or process some emotions that have come up for you.

The main focus of the transformation is ensuring you have the confidence to move forward in a way that feels safe and healthy to you.

Now for the call-out moments… they will look like reflections. Your own words or examples will be brought back up as a reminder of areas where your behavior may cause some of the wreckage.

For example, “You mentioned that you don’t feel like your boyfriend listens to you, but you also said you don’t tell him important things anymore because you can deal with it on your own. How can he step up if you’re not creating those opportunities?” But you will also be given tools and coping strategies, so these behaviors don’t repeat themselves.

Healing and growing is a journey.

The road might be bumpy sometimes, your progress won’t always be linear, but we’ll ride the waves together.

As you read this page, you’re thinking about your future, and I know you’re tired of wasting time. Insta, TikTok, blogs, and all the self-help… none of it worked out in your favor.

It’s time to do something different!
