Life is messy.
Life’s messy. You can love what you do, care deeply for others, and still find yourself running on empty. I’ve been there. After years in emergency medicine- first as an EMT, then a paramedic with the Nashville Fire Department, and later as a critical care ICU nurse- I know what it’s like to give everything you have and still feel like it’s not enough. But I also know that healing and balance are possible.

Real Care, Real Conversations
I believe that meaningful change starts with honesty. Literal honesty about where you are, what you’ve been through, and what you need. My approach is compassionate, straightforward, and grounded in both medical and mental health experience. Together, we’ll look beyond the surface symptoms to uncover the patterns, pressures, and pain that keep you stuck.
Whether you’re navigating burnout, anxiety, or trauma, my goal is to help you feel safe enough to be real, and supported enough to grow. I bring the same calm under pressure that served me in emergency medicine into every session, helping clients find clarity even in chaos.
My approach is as unique as YOU are.
Here’s What Working With Me Looks Like:
- We Get Real From the Start: You don’t need to have it all figured out. We’ll start where you are, not where you “should” be.
- We Build Tools That Work: My focus is on practical strategies you can use, not just in session, but in everyday life.
- We Lead With Compassion: You deserve to feel seen, supported, and respected. That’s nonnegotiable.

Hi, I’m Natoyia Richburg, PMHNP-BC
Why I do this work?
After years in high-stress environments, I faced my own experience with burnout, and that’s what led me to mental health nursing. It reignited my love for patient care and reminded me why I chose this field in the first place: to help people find hope and healing in the hardest seasons of their lives.
I have a special heart for first responders and others who live with trauma and PTSD. With my background on the front lines, I understand what it’s like to carry invisible wounds and push through anyway. I also work with individuals from all walks of life who are ready to heal, grow, and rediscover a sense of balance.
As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’m committed to creating affirming, inclusive spaces where everyone feels safe to show up as their full self, without judgment or pretense.
Outside the office
I’m a 40ish, young-at-heart wife and mom, married to my wonderful partner of six years. Our four-year-old daughter keeps us laughing (and on our toes), along with our two dogs (Kobe the Goldendoodle and Layla the German Shepherd). I’m a big football fan, an avid basketball watcher (and yes, I fully believe LeBron is the GOAT), and I love track and field. Family, sports, and laughter keep me grounded and remind me that life’s best moments are rarely perfect, but always worth it.
